VICON RECEIVES GIO DESIGN AWARD

Design link, which assigns the Dutch Good Industrial Design Award, has set itself the mission to stimulate industrial design and to share all related knowledge to industries.
The assigned award is based on products which meet all the five demanded criteria specified by Designlink.
The products need a maximum score on technical functionality (easy to use and open, wide, covers), ergonomics (easy to reach the inner site of the machine), respect for human and environment (steel side doors which are easy to produce, repair and recycle), design (clear and recognizable Vicon family design) and originality (innovative use of design element in agricultural machinery). The GIO award that Vicon received was assigned in the category commercial products.
Existing in-house production techniques were used to design the exterior of the series round and square balers, thereby keeping also the (cost) price in account. The steel covers have new design so that the different balers are clearly recognizable as a single product family. The introduction of plastic mould components and simple but clear to understand feature logos establish a link with recent innovations in other Vicon products, such as the drum and disc mowers.
During the official ceremony in Amsterdam Mr Anthony van der Ley, Managing Director Business Area Grass Bale-equipment proudly received the GIO award.
